The Farm

The inspiration for Saylor Creek Flower Farm has always come from the land! Our home in Saylor Township - the original farm - is situated on a wonderful flat quarter acre of south facing lawn which truly was a blank canvas. My husband and I considered putting in a pool or even a volleyball court, but in the end, decided to start with a garden. And the garden grew! After learning about the work Floret was doing in the Skagit Valley, I became captivated by the beauty of locally grown flowers, curious about their potential in Iowa, and soon filled our backyard with rows of blooms!

Saylor Township

Saylor Creek Flower Farm was founded in 2022 as a true backyard flower farm. This special micro farm has sustained us for four wonderful years. In 2026, this land will transition to become our Test Farm where we trial new varieties and colors before putting them into full production.

Mitchellville

Welcome to the new SCFF Production Fields! We are so excited to have more room to grow so we can bring more locally grown blooms to you. It is such a unique and beautiful piece of land - used for many years to organically grow asparagus. While we will continue to harvest and sell the asparagus, we will also be moving the majority of our cut flower production here as well as adding heirloom pumpkins.
